I have really wide feet and ordered the wide version of these thinking based on the reviews of Puma shoes, they may not even be wide enough for me. First time I put them on they were a little snug. I played a round with them and have to say, they stretch and adjust to your feet, are fully supported inside and are now one of my favs. They are like a golf glove for your feet! So comfortable and make every round I play in them that much more enjoyable. One recommendation... don't lace them tight... buy the right size and the laces won't have to do much as they fit on your foot like a sock. Try them and I have no doubt, you will be as big a fan as I am...Like walking on a supportive cloud... Thanks Puma... I am difficult to win over as a fan for golf shoes... but these are winners!Slips on easy, breathes, already played a couple rounds of golf and grips well.Regalo para mi hijo y le encantóUPDATE: Unfortunately (and despite my early experience of staying dry), The last few rounds I played the mesh was no longer water proof and my socks were very wet about 3 holes into the round (especially in the toe area). This was not golf in the rain, the course was just wet from the night before. Too bad... I still wear these shoes around town as they are comfortable and I like the way they look. Other than the dryness issue, I like they way they perform on the course too. Oh well... you get what you pay for. -1 star from original of 4 stars.ORINGINAL REVIEW: I was going to wait a little while to review these shoes because of the previous questionable reviews. However, yesterday sealed the deal for me! Granted I only have about 10 rounds of golf on these so longevity is YTBD, but yesterday I played in the rain and mud with these shoes after a day when my area received 3.5" of rain the day before. The course was Muddy and WET and I was concerned that these shoes, being less expensive then some of the best reviewed, might not hold up. Not only were my socks and feet bone dry at the end of the round but my feet felt great! They shed water like a champ and even though they are spikeless, I felt no slippage on any shot (tee box or fairway). From other reviews, it looks like there is a tendency for the laces to rip through the leather eyelets. I have been weary of that so the first few rounds I was "careful" not to pull too hard but the last few rounds I've been testing them a little more for durability. So far, no problem. Anyway, I try to leave reviews that help other consumers so here are the pros and cons readers digest version. This is one mans opinion, YMMV.The golfer leaving the review:*Male - 6'2" - 185lbs - size 12 medium*Mid 50's*Golf 3-5 times a week (12 Handicap)* Has owned numerous golf shoes from FootJoy and other well known brands.Pros*Comfortable (like, super-wear-all-day-type-comfortable)*Good looking if you like the sneaker vibe*so far, appear to do well in wet weather (UPDATE: 2 months in they are leaking!)*nice and cool on hot days*flexible upper mesh (see cons for same feature)*spikeless sole has provided good stability*fits this golfer's narrow foot but feels like it could be comfortable for wider fits.Cons*Still concerned about eyelets ripping (will report here if so)*May not provide great side to side stability for some golfers (Mesh upper not the same as shoes with leather upper)*Spikeless sole not an aggressive tread - aggressive golfers with faster swing speeds than I, may have issues. For $90.00 (and if the eyelets don't break) this is a great value in a golf shoe. Took off one star only for the stability factor.Great shoe. Haven’t worn spikeless before but this was goodVery comfortable for the priceI have another pair of this model and like them a lot. Disappointed with this pair as I ripped through the eyelet the second round I wore them. Also ironic that yesterday was the last day I could return. Hopefully they can dial up an exchange and I’ll upgrade my review. UPDATE - Changed review as my replacement pair is on the way!I’m on my third pair in a month and have FINALLY learned my lesson. Yes, there is a horrible design flaw with the eyelets for the laces. Thin rubber doesn’t hold up when pulling the laces tight and so many reviews including this one show the fatal flaw. BUT, it can be avoided!I didn’t want to give up since this shoe was more comfortable than the previous six I tried on. So, for my third pair, after “the rip” occurred twice, I decided to poke holes through the eyelets and through the shoe material to match the top eyelet which was designed this way. The problem was solved and takes less than 10 minutes. I used a very small Phillips head screwdriver to poke the holes all the way through the shoe material, and re-laced the shoe. Now I get to enjoy the comfort of this shoe without having to worry about ripping the rubber for a third time.Don’t give up on this shoe!I purchased this shoe for my husband, he goes golfing about one or twice a month. Length wise it’s a little on the large side, my recommendation is purchase a half-size down from what you usually wear. If possible, purchase the Wide type and it will fit just fine. It looks great on the feet but the best thing about it is the performance. Right away my husband noticed tremendous improvement with his golfing. He had not noticed before how his old golf shoes were holding him back. If you’re undecided about which golf shoes to buy, BUY THIS ONE, you won’t regret it!!!These are possibly the best golf shoes ive ever worn, amazing fit, great support and no waterproof issues. However on the second time I put them on the rubber/plastic lace hole completely ripped through as I was lacing them up. Fair to say I dont lace my shoes up hard so i was really dissappointed as i thought i'd found the shoes I'd wear forever (was looking to buy a second pair last night).I'd be really appreciative if the seller or Amazon would help me out here as I presume this is a manufacturing issue.--Adding an editWhile it was disappointing that the construction of the shoes relied upon the plastic eyelit for the shoelace a very simple fix was achieved by putting a hole in the material below it. As a regular user of Amazon they were highly supportive and helped me.Once again - these shoes are absolutely fantastic, I have long narrow feet and the reduction in pain even playing 2 rounds in a day were noticeable. I hope that my experience isnt shared.Kind regardsThe strap on the back of the shoes fell off the very first time I tried them on. Received a replacement pair but the unreinforced eyelets started ripping during the first tighten. They leather is so thin and cheap there is no way these will last through the back nine.My husband wore his new shoes once, and was full of praise regarding comfort. The second time he put them on, the lace ripped right through the eyelet (second from top on inside of right foot) as as he was tightening his lace! Much lower quality than expected given the brand and price!I have worn these shoes for 3 rounds of golf. On the third round the lace pulled right through the eyelet and now the shoes are no good to me. They should have those plastic eyelets or grommets that the laces slip through. Instead they cut right through the leather.. serious design flaw!! I will be returning them for my money back.
